Anyone know where RCI docks and if they have a shuttle to town?

If so, what, if any, is the price? If not, what is the best way into town? Thx

When we cruised on RCI Jewel (more than likely will be the same for you). We docked at Hernesaari Ship Dock in the west harbor area.

 

They did offer a shuttle approx a 10 min ride to close to Market Square is where we were dropped off/picked up... $8.00pp roundtrip..this was provided (contracted by RCI) by I believe a local transportation company but all we needed to do as we boarded was show our SeaPass and it was charged to that. You will be given lots of info once onboard. Enjoy.

We were in Helsinki last year on Adventure and as Ashland stated a shuttle was put on to take you into town for I think about $10.

 

There is lots to see and do nearby where you are dropped off, the Church of the Rock is worth visiting and then we headed to the harbour area for the market and some lunch. Its a great place you'll really enjoy it :)

I was there a couple of years ago and found the walk from Ship to City Centre a very pleasant stroll along the coast line.

Were there cabs available? There are 5 of us so that might make sense if we coukd find a larger cab.

We did the tram from the port back in 2014 on a Baltic cruise. It was a cheap way to get around. Stopped off at the market and got food. They sell reindeer meatballs there.

 

Tram (these prices might have changed):

Cost: 2.50 euro (from machine), 3.00 euro (from driver) each ride for 1 hour. 8 euros for all day.

Tram #2 and #3 make a figure eight through the city that goes past major sights.

Great. Planned on taking tbe tram but didnt realize it stopped at the port!

I believe it's Tram 9 goes to the West Terminal (Vastra Terminalen) in the port but not to the ship so you have to do some walking.
