It was from a PVP. The number is their Miami call center. I talked to her once already. It has to be used this year. We have to pay port fees and taxes. There are limitations, no Alaska. There are lots of threads on here about these offers. I have no idea why I was picked. We were on a cruise in January of this year. We didn't have anything currently booked.

Congratulations on your cruise offer. Enjoy!

I'm curious if it also shows up in your VIFP offers?

There are different types of casino "free" offers. My last 2 from Carnival were different. One required that I pay both the port fees and taxes and the other only required I pay the taxes. I booked the latter one and I will be cruising next month on that offer. When I got that offer, I got a letter in snail mail from Carnival. The offer did NOT show in my VIFP offers on Carnival's website; however, if started a search for cruises, I could see the offer there. It appeared with cruises listed for $50 per person (I searched lowest to highest price), which is what the free offer was for. I paid a $50 per person deposit which will be given back to me as onboard credit. The onboard credit shows on my cruise docs.

so, its not really free is it

yes, it is free.... he spent the money in the casino not knowing that the offer would come. also... he would have cruised again and paid for it and still played in the casino... now he pays nothing for his cruise which equals free:D

In my opinion, these "free" cruises are not actually free because you are paying for the cruise, just in the casino.

In my opinion.. it is free.. because he would be spending money in the casino anyway... only now he doesn't pay for the cruise part... this equals free:D

I also received the free cruise offer through casino rate. 50.00 a person with 100.00 onboard credit. All I pay for is taxes and port charges. Lots of cruises to choose from. My question is we go with another couple and me and my friend spend close to the same amount of money on a cruise. Spend a Average of $75 to $100 a day. I have gotten this free cruise rate 3 times in a year and she has never gotten it. Just curious why she doesnt get the good rate and I do. (I am not complaining happy I get these offers)

Just wondering how I get rate and she doesnt???

I've never heard of Carnival offering free cabins over the phone. All of mine have either come in snail mail or under my cabin door onboard. Or you can see them on Carnival's website. Did the person say what department they are from or why you were given this offer?

I dont know about the OP bur PVP called my parents and offered them a free cruise on the Conquest. 100% free other than port fees, taxes and tips. No casino requirements. It was about a week before the sailing so they were probably trying to fill the ship at any costs.

We are so excited!! I just got off the phone with the PVP. We are booked on the Sept. 8th sailing to Glacier Bay Alaska. Total price for port fees, taxes, prepaid gratuities and insurance is $709 + $100 obc. So $304.50 per person for a 7 day Alaskan Cruise!!!! We've been dying to go to Alaska. They had several offers in June, but they didn't work for us.

I saved several cruises on Carnival website I keep checking for price drop and my casino offer included one of my saved cruises and this just happened to be the one I wanted to go on the most. Lots great ports.

14 day cruise for 2: Total amount for cruise, port charges, taxes, gratuities is 715.02 then I get a 100.00 onboard credit. So TOTAL of 14 day cruise for 2 is 615.02. This is awesome!!!

But my question is still why my friend doesn't get casino offer when we spend the same amount of money on slot machines average 75 to 100 a day(no more and only slots)??????. She has been on Carnival about 4 more times than we have and she has never gotten this kind of offer. We are both GOLD. Her charge is over 3 times mine. How do I get this and she doesnt??? Very happy I got this offer.

I'm leaving in a week for an 8 day Alaska and I've paid $2900.00 for the cabin + port/taxes + gratuities. There is no free lunch and no free cruise.

This is great! I hope you plan some amazing excursions - we LOVED Alaska and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I never thought I would ever get this call. I just don't have that type of luck. Now to figure out when to go?

Please note that nothing in their contract guarantees you food or any other benefit, as has been said by many boiler room lawyers on this board.

Let me ask you this. Let's say I went on a cruise and went on all of the high end excursions, did the chefs table, bought expensive wine in the steakhouse, rented the big villa in HMC that cost $1500.00 etc. etc. and then Carnival gave me a free cruise, would that be considered free or not?

Myself for one derives just as much fun in the casino as all of the above mentioned items.

What if you went to Disney and spent a bunch of money and they gave you free admission on your next trip, would that be free?

I know it is hard for non gamblers to wrap their head around why we do what we do.

Just like I will never understand why some people enjoy doing the things they do but I say live and let live, no skin off my nose.

Yeah I was going by what the PVP told me, then I checked online. She hadn't checked either. She said they normal do not allow Alaska cruises on the free promotion. Ok technically it's not a free cruise. It's a free cabin. My cabin price is ZERO.
