Royal to raise gratuities

Yes, I do over focus on this. I just wish the lines would pay everyone fairly and charge us accordingly,

 

People are already whining about cruise fares skyrocketing. I cant even imagine the outcry if cruise lines started to pay a "fair wage". I say leave whats in place, in place except call it what it is. A daily service charge but make it mandatory and non removable. You either pay it or you dont cruise. Simple as that. I guess it happens but Ive yet to receive service on ANY cruise on ANY line that didnt at least warrant the daily gratuity. That could be taken up with Guest Services.

I read the title and thought, Royal Caribbean just raised the gratuities. Then I looked at the first post and realized that this thread is one year old.
