chrislaurn Posted May 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2015 I've read where some ships have an outlet behind the nightstand where the lamp plugs in and folks have been able to unplug the lamp and plug their CPAPs in. Can someone tell me if the Dream has this? We have a balcony room. If not, any recommendations for how long an extension cord should be? Please and thanks! YubaSutter Posted May 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2015 In our Dream balcony cabin, there was an outlet behind the telephone and one in the bathroom.
T. Advisor King Posted May 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2015 My recollection from the Magic and the Breeze were that the lamps plugged into an unusual socket behind the bed. It wasn't a European socket. We take European socket adapters with us when we go on cruise ships because many have dual NA/European outlets. I wish I'd taken a picture of it, because I'd be happy to give up the lamp for a bed-side socket.
Kamloops50 Posted May 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2015 The lamps beside the bed is usually 220 VAC. This allows them to use lighter wire for lighting . You'll need a voltage converter unless your CPAP is dual voltage.
chrislaurn Posted May 14, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted May 14, 2015 I think it is dual voltage. I'll be sure to check though. Thanks for the responses!
