scungileen Posted May 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2015 I have been seeing very expensive transfers from Heathrow Airport to Southampton. Does anyone have any suggestions that may be a little less expensive. I would really appreciate it.

kruzseeka Posted May 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2015 We find National Express very good. After recently travelling from Gatwick to Southampton by train, I would choose the coach in futute; the driver will help load your luggage (not easy lifting luggage on and off some trains and limited luggage racks), you have a guaranteed seat (not so on trains!) and pick up points are convenient. The coaches are much cleaner with more comfortable seats too imo. Costs are generally much more reasonable as well. You will need a taxi from either the coach or train station to the Port though. It's not far but too far with luggage as far as I'm concerned.

Try Eavesway, they pick up at the Renaissance on Bath Rd, LHR and take you right into your cruise terminal. You will have to get the Hoppa bus (operated by National Express) from the terminal to the hotel. Only National Express is permitted to service the terminals at LHR, no private companies or hotel buses. Edited May 21, 2015 by NSWP
