Hello! I'm back!

 

Sorry to leave you hanging but finally got back into the groove of things! I am at work today with the big boss gone so shhhhhhhh I will be posting today while at work.. heheheh....

 

Let's continue shall we?

 

We hung out during the mixology contest and Ann got a small free drink from the overage that the bartender made. It was a lot of fun!

 

Then it was time for hairy chest contest! We were already close and Asst. CD asked for 8 ladies that wanted to be part of the "carwash" for the contest... me and Ann ran right over.. cause.. why not??

 

With judges in order and us ladies assembled in our "carwash" we were ready!!

 

 

"you ready Ann??! let's do this!"

 

 

got my sippy cup full of deliciousness of rum and diet dr. pepper.. a few more sips!!

 

 

here we go... lol....

 

 

He was hilarious!!!

 

 

Everyone was having a blast and good laughs!!

 

 

All the guys... a firefighter won!

Miss Jennifer was off getting her massage at this time and relaxing.

After the HC contest myself and Ann decided to go chill out in our cabin, make some more drinks and enjoy some balcony time while we wait for Miss Jennifer to get back from her massage. There is just something about just chillin on your balcony and watching the sea go by. Amazing how booze and conversation with friends makes you emotional. We had some laughs and good cries. All good!

Before we knew it, Jennifer was back and it was time to get ready for elegant evening. We cranked our music on the blue tooth speaker as we got ready. I don't get gussied up very often so cruises are my time to do so if I feel like it.

Time to head to dinner.. sorry I did not get a picture of menu but I did get a picture of my dinner at least.

 

 

It was so good and I was ready to soak up all that booze I had been drinking! Dinner was fantastic as usual and my WCMC.

 

I had told the girls we needed to take pictures to document our girls trip so we hit up a lot of backdrops so we could choose later on. Also to help pass the time until comedy.

 

 

This ended up being our absolute favorite picture of us!

 

We ended up going to the casino and I donated 20 bucks to the ship in the slot machine. My feet were killing me in my heels so we went back to cabin so I could put on my flippy floppies. By then we have killed enough time to head to comedy.

 

 

We were so excited Fluffy was on this cruise!! We loved her on the Splendor last year!

Head out to just outside the lounge where Mike Macy was greeting people afterwards so we asked Fluffy to take our picture......

 

 

 

 

We were standing there forever smiling and couldn't figure out what was taking her so long.. lol... come to find out she was taking selfies on Ann's phone... hahahah!!! We were laughing so hard!! Love that Fluffy!!

 

We wondered around the ship some more then decided to head back and get into our comfies. It was late and of course had to do our nightcap... ordered room service and got my blt again.. the are so good!!

 

It was a very fun filled day!!

I'm only in the middle of your review but just noticed your necklace as you're drinking your first drink onboard - I have the same one! Mine has a dolphin, a football and a cruise ship in it! What does yours have?

Sorry it took me so long to get back.. I would never leave a review undone!! NYC was amazing and fabulous and it was hectic getting back to work and just survived month end and fiscal year end closing... I am currently at work trying to add more but our internet and photobucket are not liking each other right now...

 

I am going to keep trying to upload!!!

Hello and I am back! No way I would forget about you all!! Just a lot of stuff happened getting back to the grind... NYC WAS FABULOUS AND SO MUCH FUN!! Ok, now where were we??? oh yes... St. Thomas/St. John!!!! All I know is I am super excited that us three ladies all enjoyed doing the same things. When we were booking excursions Jen brought up going to St. John to Trunk Bay... um yes please... a beach that I have only seen on Travel Channel etc... sign me up!!!

 

It was nice not having to get up so early since we were not to due to arrive til around 10. We got up, went and got coffee at the coffee stand and hit the lido for breakfast so we could watch us pull into port.

Beep Beep comin through!!!

 

 

We head back to our cabin to get our stuff ready for the day. Glad we got to miss the rush getting off the ship since we didn't have to be down for our excursion til noon.

 

 

Off the ship again and head down to the pier to wait for our ferry that will bring us to St. John.. We thought it was pretty neat we would be visiting two islands in one day!

 

 

The sun was sure hot and also being on the cement pier.. a few times I pulled my sarong and shaded my head cause I forgot to bring my hat with me.. I know I know shame on me.. but I had my sunblock on!

 

 

Finally our ferry showed up to whisk us away for the day! I was so glad to get on there and get some breeze on my face!

Little lady Virginia taking us away! The ride over takes about 45 minutes.. you get a lot of information about the islands, cost of living etc.. the guy doing the talking was pretty funny too. Helps the time go by faster as well.

 

 

I believe this is the four seasons hotel? Looks like a little more than my budget can handle!

 

They also point out celebrities houses etc but my lil iphone the pics did not turn out that great.. but I loved the ride over.. big difference from our Glory and a ferry boat! lol..

 

Before we knew it we had arrived at St. John.. once you get off the dingy boat you get into a open air safari type truck that brings you to Trunk Bay...

 

 

Oh ya? P. Diddy? The magic dragon? We laughed so hard at this sign... good times...

 

About half way there they stop so you can take an awesome view shot of Trunk Bay...

 

 

I could not believe I was actually seeing this with my own eyeballs... truly amazing view...

Had to get a selfie with Trunk Bay in the background.. lol... As you can see it is a little more sunny... All day there was this grey cloud that never seemed to ever move totally out of the way..and the sun kept creeping from behind the clouds here and there... great for keeping a sunburn at bay but it was always annoying..

 

 

We found a spot on the beach on one end and did some bee bopping around the water.. we decided to go try and get something to eat and the girls wanted to get some gifts... well they got the gifts but the line to order food was super long and does not move very fast... so eat a big breakfast and try and bring some snacks or something with you..

 

They have a nice area with bathrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off sand from your tootsies and swim suit as well.

 

Ann and I wanted to go back into the water and savor every minute we had there before we had to get back on the truck to take us back.

 

 

Yay the sun came out again!!!

 

Myself and Ann were little water babies and told Jen to be the time keeper for us and tell us when to get out... cause you pretty much have to entice me with food or booze... well and getting back to the ship on time.. other than that.. I'm in the water..

 

 

I love tropical beaches and water! I'm not model but I am who I am... just more of me to love. :-)

I could not believe I was actually seeing this with my own eyeballs... truly amazing view...

 

This was where I almost stepped on a stingray while snorkeling back in 1997. Looked down in about 6 feet of water and there is a string ray right below me on the ocean floor. Scared the crap out of me, but it was pretty cool to be so close to one.

Ok folks.. I am so so so sorry!

 

I am back!

 

I know I know almost a year later... but after I got back from my NYC trip in June last year... stuff just really hit the fan with my personal life and my review took a wayyyy back burner seat until things mellowed out...

 

Long story short, my marriage went down the tubes after NYC.. tried and tried to make it work but sometimes you just gotta let go and move on..

 

So I have been super busy being a busy busy workin single momma..

 

Lots of things have changed but for the better!

 

This weekend I really want to dive back into my review and get her finished... because....... I set sail again in 38 days for a 4 day cruise with my mom!!!

 

Thank you for your patience and I am so sorry for leaving everyone hanging as it was not my intention!

 

Hope you will forgive me and still follow along with me?? (even though its almost a year later???)

Oh my gosh, so sorry to hear this! I had been following this review since I really enjoyed your previous one. I know that reviews can take a lot of time and sometimes personal lives get in the way...and those are so much more important than a review. Please don't feel the need to apologize, totally understandable. I'm just glad that things are working out for you and for the better. I was vested before and will continue to follow along on your review...but don't you have some cruise planning to do. :D

 

I saw a picture from a Grand Turk helicopter tour on "another site" last week and thought of your previous review. Looking forward to the rest and so glad you're back!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I'm glad you are back doing the review. Cruising is definitely therapy. I sailed Glory summer of 2014, same itinerary and loved her. You are taking me down memory lane,

 

Quick question, what did you use to stick the letters on your cabin door? In 9 cruise, I've never decorated my door but I'm doing mine and my neighbors as a surprise (it's my parents and it's my dad's first cruise)

Hope you have a great cruise to help clear your head. I don't know if you're aware, but you can no longer bring bottled "water" onboard. Some people were using that as a means of smuggling booze so they banned all bottles. Could you imagine anyone doing that?! LOL [emoji6]
