Assigned check in time vs FTTF

I received an email from carnival today telling me that my assigned time to check in is between 2 and 3, and if we arrive early we will be sent away. I don't remember that in the past. We purchased FTTF, and had hoped to be there earlier than that.

Will we be sent away even with FTTF?

Show up when you want. FTTF works whenever you arrive.

If you arrive before boarding starts you'll be in the second group or so (after diamond, platinum. Think weddings trump all).

If you arrive after boarding starts you'll be directed thru the priority lines. Usually those are faster than the regular lines, but not always.

We purchased FTTF for our Pride cruise (first time buying it) and we got the same notification. We showed up and had no problems...other than I didn't realize they didn't start boarding until noon and we were there around 10:30 and still had to wait. LOL :p
