I am doing some research for a hotel for 1 night on December 6th, 2015. Has anyone every stayed here, and if so, would you go back or recommend this hotel to someone else. I have found a rate of approx. $170 for the night. Am curious. Thanks

If this is the one in Fort Lauderdale, book it now! Every time we want to stay there the rooms are $500 per night. I've never found a rate that cheap.

Thanks for your input Blue Herons. I booked tonight through LMT and got the room for $173.00 ($163.00 plus $10.00 membership fee for joining their travel club program for 1 year.) I'm happy. Just looking for an extra day to relax after our cruise and before heading home to tackle getting ready for the holidays). An early Christmas present to DH and myself.:D

We stayed there quite a few years ago after a cruise. Our room was beautiful and their pool awesome. DH just didn't like it was farther away from port/airport. No big deal to me though. You will love it and enjoy!!!!

Just for your knowledge, smoking is permitted every where on the property.

fireofficer5, thanks for the input about it being a smoking property. I will try to request a non smoking room. Don't plan on gambling (much... maybe $20 on the slots (ha ha)) but have looked at the hotel online and it looks like a beautiful place to spend an extra day. Is there anything special you can suggest we do, such as take a water taxi ride (never done that before) or head to downtown Fort Lauderdale (how far away would that be)? We have stayed at the Westin Diplomat before, and wouldn't mind staying there again, but cannot get a room for our date, and I'm sure the price would be much greater. We are staying at the Westin at 321 N FOrt Lauderdale Blvd one night before our cruise (got that at a great rate) and made the mistake of not booking it after our cruise as well. Live and learn... AGAIN:rolleyes:

Hard Rock is about 20 minutes from Ft Lauderdale Beach or even Downtown.

 

Hollywood and Dania beaches are a bit closer.

 

But the water taxi is always a great time. There are stops all over town.

There is not much around the Seminole Hard rock Hotel and Casino.

Other than my place.

 

There's a golf course, Emerald Hills Country Club, 2 miles away and my favorite

U Pull It auto parts. 2 miles north.

 

The thing about Florida, once you get away from the beach, there's not much else to see.
