Livorno taxi day rates

Does anyone have information on the current price of a taxi for the day in Livorno? I see various posts but having a hard time finding the current price.

 

I suspect it is less expensive to pick one up on arrival but not sure we want to skip making reservations and have trouble finding a taxi the day that we are there (July 13)

Try http://www.tuscanytastetours.com - they are a reputable taxi company we used recently with good rates.

There will be a limited number of local taxis at the port in the morning. It is first come first serve so its wise to be one of the early folks off the ship. If you want to hire a local taxi for the day it is negotiable depending on your skill and supply and demand. A regular taxi will usually want more then 250 Euros and we have witnessed some asking for 350€. For that kind of money they will take you anywhere and wait. Keep in mind that taxi drivers are simply drivers, many speak little or no English, and they in no way professional tour guides.
