We've never been on Oceania but so glad Veendam was better!

I have (been on Oceania), and it is (Veendam better). At least I found the Veendam (all HAL ships for that matter) better as to service and food.

We spend most days on the promenade (wrap-around-deck) in the wonderful lounges. Is that possible now with the lanai cabins? Thanks.

There still are non-reserved deck chairs on the promenade deck. We went to Bermuda on Veendam the first year she did that itinerary. We had OV cabins and managed to find deck chairs on Promenade on the sea days. Take a look at the deck plans and you'll see that some of the indoor space on that deck is offices or OV cabins. The chairs in front of those windows are not reserved. Just don't take a chair in front of a sliding glass door and you'll be fine.

Bill and Becky,

Sandy and I just got off the Veendam. The lanai cabins have 2 loungers each reserved for them. But there are additional loungers available on that deck. We had no problem finding two when we went there.
