Lots of bars shutdown on the last night of Solstice Alaskan cruises

The final evening of the Solstice Alaskan cruise is in Victoria BC from 6pm to 11:59pm. We had done five fabulous (and expensive!) excursions in Alaska, so we decided to stay onboard the last evening and enjoy the ship for one last night. I was very surprised to find when I read the celebrity today daily that morning that "becuase of canadian liquor regulations, the opening times of onboard bars and lounges have been adjusted."

I would call adjusted a bit of an understatement. The Molecular bar, Cellarmasters, the Ensemble lounge, Sky lounge, and Quasar were all closed. I understand having to follow local laws, but was dissapointed that all my favorite bars were closed! I would have spent my second to last night differently, especially knowing that I will never again have a molecular bar drink! It did mean that the martini bar was hopping, as it was one of the few inside bars open.

This isn't meant to be a complaint, as laws need to be followed, but merely an informational piece to fellow travelers so they enjoy their favorite bars on the second to last night!

That just SUCKS!

Why can they open one bar and not all?

We are sailing out of Vancouver 9/9/2016 to Hawaii. I Hope the bars will be open during our sail away? That is one of our favorite parts of a cruise with the CC people.

I sailed last month and was told there is one bar opened on each deck

on the night the ship is in Victoria. Yes, they are following the laws.

I went into Victoria with a friend who works on the ship....she is a

bartender so for her, it was a very rare night off!

Were the Passport, Oceanview or Sunset Bars open? What about the Casino & casino bar?

I can't remember all...I do know The Molecular was closed. One bar

on each deck was opened....I believe The Martini Bar was opened...it

is on deck 4.

Looking at the list, one bar per floor was indeed open. Now it makes sense as to why the pool bar stayed open late, even though the pool was deserted. It's the only bar on Deck 12!

Casino and casino bar were closed at 4pm for 6pm arrival. Passport bar was open until "late," as was the martini bar. We went to bed about 1am, and the martini bar was still going strong, but I didn't look at the passport bar. Oceanview bar closed at 6pm, but the "Destinations bar" on deck 14 was also open until 1am. Not sure what the destinations bar is....is one what they call the inside bar at the buffet, and the other the outside bar at the very back of the ship under the sunset bar? I don't know. The sunset bar was open.
