Walking apps on smart phone

Recommended Posts

We will be on a 14 Baltic cruise and many of the countries are do it yourself. We intend to walk in Bruges, Copenhagen,Stockholm, etc. and as I am NOT techie savy, I wondered if there were walking apps I could put on my smart phone? I apologize if this is a dumb question.

Thank you

Not a dumb question at all!

Take a look at Ulman Pro City Maps 2 Go.

I have used it on three trips. You download the maps for the cities you want before you leave on your trip. Then you can use the maps offline. It takes some getting used to but it does work great as an aid getting from one place to another. If your home city is available to download - you could practice before your trip.

Trip Advisor City Guides is amazing. It uses GPS, not wifi so you can use it to get from attraction to attraction. It includes restaurants as well as attractions for many cities both in the U.S. and around the world. We found it to be invaluable on a recent trip to Paris. And it is "free!"
