KrisMusc313 Posted July 8, 2015 #126 Share Posted July 8, 2015 It's weird that we choose our cruise by itinerary for its ports of calls, then actually it's the sea days I crave this is 100% us!
BigB0882 Posted July 8, 2015 #127 Share Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) I love sea days. I love sleeping in and just pigging out all day. The only problem is we gamble way too much since the casino is not closed during the day like it is when in port. Sea day brunch is also my favorite meal on the ship. I have been known to go have breakfast AND lunch in the dining room serving brunch. Edited July 8, 2015 by BigB0882

Banks822 Posted July 8, 2015 #129 Share Posted July 8, 2015 I enjoy sea days, but I do not enjoy chair hogs! On sea days I want to sleep a little later (at least 8am) and have breakfast, then sit by the pool and relax. Unfortunately that isn't usually an option because unless you're up by 7am to grab a chair, you won't get one. The most aggravating part about that is how long those chairs go unused because people claim them with a towel or book then go back to their room or to eat. I usually end up on my balcony on sea days. But of course that's still better then being at work!

wizard-of-roz Posted July 8, 2015 #132 Share Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) I really wish that carnival would enforce the 40 minute time for empty chairs. I was shocked when the Matre d' welcomed everyone to the dining room the first night and then made the announcement that he would not tolerate baseball caps or cut-off jeans, PLEASE! Maybe Carnival is toughening-up on their standards and the chair hogs will be the next to go! Edited July 8, 2015 by wizard-of-roz

BillNY Posted July 9, 2015 #134 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Gotta love sea days! Our upcoming cruise on the Splendor is like three mini-vacations in one: 2 sea days, followed by 3 ports, then 2 more sea days heading home.
mek Posted July 9, 2015 #135 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I like sea days in the Caribbean or on longer cruises, but I could never do a Cruise to Nowhere.
Banks822 Posted July 9, 2015 #136 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I really wish that carnival would enforce the 40 minute time for empty chairs. I've read on some reviews that it has happened. I've not been on any of those ships though. Lol! Here's hoping....
