Hi cruisers,

We are sailing 10-2 from NJ to CA to the Mexican Riveria. We noticed there was a 2nd flight time change on the return trip of 10-13 (UNITED)...We are hoping to make the 11:19 flight back home, but, if we miss it for whatever reason, do you think they will give us the next morning flight at no additional fee?

Also anyone have any solid information for a reasonable hotel/motel near SD airport which would include free shuttle and possibly continental breakfast?

All replies, hints are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and safe sails to you all always.

Please forgive the huge type! Can't fix it...it should say SUN...My 'very' bad! :0(

Don't have answers to your questions but I did read earlier this month how to change title of thread

click on edit

click on go advanced

then you should be able to amend the title

haven't had an opportunity to try it out so can't guarantee it works

You won't have trouble finding a reasonable hotel in San Diego near the airport . The San Diego airport is less than 5 miles from the San Diego downtown . The cruise port is in downtown San Diego and is a 20 minute or less ride to the airport.

If you self disembark you should be able to get to the airport within an hour of leaving the ship. Just use a taxi .

Can't speak for the airline, but if your original flight is 11:19 PM, and you miss it... your next flight WILL be the next morning... assuming you can get on it! If it is 11:19 AM, well, they will get you on whatever they can.

San Diego has a curfew on flights leaving the airport at 11:30 PM.

There are literally dozens of hotels near the pier. Basically you are pretty much right in downtown San Diego where the pier is. The Wyndham (formerly the Holiday Inn) is directly across the street and is a nice hotel with shuttles to the airport. They have a restaurant, but don't know about continental breakfast. The airport is about a mile or two from the pier down N Harbor Dr from the Hotel

The airport's right next to the cruiseport (and both are right next to downtown San Diego) so you should be able to make your flight.

If for some reason you don't make your flight, the San Diego downtown Hampton Inn has a courtesy shuttle, free breakfast, and is right around the corner from the Wyndham Bayside.

Thanks and we will check! Our flight is 11:19 AM... we are hoping to make it. We'll request early disembark, but not carry our own luggage. We can't.

I'm sure it will all work out!

Thanks all and again, my apologies for the "sin" instead of the SUN in the title
