Chef's Table

Anyone know where the Chef's Table is held on the Breeze or the Magic? We have enjoyed it on several ships when it has been in the library or a club. However, on the Dream it was in the galley which was just too hot and loud to for us.

It is held in the kitchen of both these ships.

Is there even mildly convenient access to a restroom from the galley on the Magic?

When we did it on Triumph, we were in the library, and around the time the fish course, I had to excuse myself -and while there isn't a restroom nearby, it is of course all through passenger areas, so it wasn't hard to go find one. The event is just really long, and I drank a lot of water with so much different food types. (I don't drink wine.)

If we are in the galley, are they going to let me leave mid-dinner and come back? This time I'm going to be pregnant, so if I couldn't make it through the dinner last time, there is NO WAY I'll be able to this time...

Interesting. Wonder if there is a crew restroom in the galley you could use.

We did it recently on the Pride and it is held on the bottom of their Frankenstein lounge so had to walk up a flight of steps to even get to the restroom. Anyone who is even partially disabled would have a problem.

On the Dream, it was in the kitchen. We found it to be the perfect place to hold the dinner. We could watch the chef's prepare the food. It was neither hot or loud. The only bad thing about the dinner was the magician.

We thought the table magician on the Pride was awesome. Still amazed that he put a ring under my hand without my realizing it.

No, they bring you upstairs to the restrooms outside the aft dining room.

I agree, the magicians they bring in are pretty cool. It was a nice add to the evening.

When I did the chefs table on the Breeze last December they had a crew member escort me through some back way shortcut to a restroom- wasn't too far. Also, there was a built-in bathroom break for everyone after the galley tour, appetizers, and chocolate melting cake demo.

They dont seem to work to hard though. The night after chefs table early in our two week cruise we saw him in Dr and went over to say how much we enjoyed his act. Came to our table and did a few tricks. Than for next 10 days never even saw him on the ship.

There have been other cruises where we saw the magician wandering around DR but never even came close to our table.

Have seen the same thing. Makes me wonder if they wander or hit tables by design.

Our magician was a bartender. We saw him nearly everyday at the martini bar.

It wasn't the same magician that was the "show" magician (there was a magic act, and a cabaret magic act); probably just a crew-member with a hidden talent.

So maybe yours was a room steward or something, and he just came around the dining room a few times when his schedule allowed?

Maybe this year I'll need that (who knows at 22 weeks...); but that would be WELL before I'd need to go!

But good to know they can escort you in and out of the galley if need be!
