ChucktownSteve Posted July 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2015 If you're in Charleston tonight, you can watch free fireworks on the harbor being shot from a barge off the bow of the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point. A good vantage point from downtown is on the top level of the parking garages or hotels. The flight deck on the Yorktown is sold out but you can watch for free from the banks at Patriots Point. There is a $10/vehicle parking fee though. The fireworks will begin shortly after dark...about 9pm. However you'll want to get to your spot long before that. Traffic will be very heavy. Fox News is also broadcasting segments from Patriots Point throughout the day (Heather Childers and Dana Perino) and I believe they'll show the fireworks show tonight.
