gtouch Posted July 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2015 Since vacation is time to let go what drinks do you recommend. I usually drink Scotch but on vacation I will go with some "Boat drinks" to quote Jimmy Buffett.

Macklovin38 Posted July 15, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 15, 2015 My husband who drinks bourbon at home (we're from KY) does the same thing- he gets "boat drinks". His usual selections are the mojito or the margarita. By his "cursive" speech at the end of the day, I'd say they pack a punch!
cruiseJMO Posted July 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 15, 2015 Long Island Iced Teas are definitely at the top. There's usually some altered version of it under tequila or ship specials.

bluerose1515 Posted July 15, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2015 I like the beach comber, frogs island iced tea, & DJ. The DJ is pretty much a blue Long Island and goes down so smooth!
volmoma Posted July 15, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 15, 2015 (edited) A shot, of any alcohol, mixed with a carbonated drink will be absorbed in the blood stream faster than without carbonation. I thought this was odd, but true.. And cruiseJMO you are so right about the Long Island Teas... In one of the large glasses a LIT's alcohol will fill the glass half full w/ice, about 1/3 without/ice, then your mixer. It does pack a punch..there is 5 types of LIT...TOKYO TEA, AMF, LONG BEACH and I can't remember the 5th one. One is blue, one is green, one is red/cranberry. I can taste mine now, leaving in 37 days.. Edited July 15, 2015 by volmoma
