Honeymoon Registry Help

We used the Royal Caribbean Honeymoon registry and we were given items like dining at portifino's, chops grille, shore excursion credit, and on-board credit.

 

The web site says "Please note the actual amount of your onboard credit may not be visible the first day of the cruise. It may take a few days to show on your stateroom account."

 

If this is the case, how can I make reservations for excursions or dining ahead of time?

 

Or, do I simply go ahead and make the reservations and at the end of the cruise, they will apply the credit that I was gifted and I will just pay the balance? It isn't quite clear.

 

I also sent them an e-mail and they said everything will transfer a week before the cruise - but I don't see any evidence of that on my account.

 

Does anyone have any experience with the honeymoon registry?

Anything you reserve ahead of time will not use on-board credit, it will be charged in full to your credit card immediately. If you want to use on-board credit, you must make reservations after you board the ship.

Also, are there multiple methods of reserving? Like, can you simply call or arrange something from your room, or do you have to go to guest services on the promenade?

You can make restaurant reservations by using your stateroom phone, or going to the restaurant.

 

You can make excursion reservations by using your interactive TV (some ships) or by visiting the Shore Excursions desk.
