On waitlist, never notified

I was looking to book a single studio interior room for my uncle on Anthem of the Seas, so I added him to the waitlist offered by the cruise line for a small deposit. Last night, I decided to check the website and found that studio rooms, both inside and balcony were released and I was never notified. Thankfully, I was able to get a room. No thanks to the cruise line. So, for those who are on waitlist, please don't rely on the cruise line to notify you because you very well may be missed.

I am sorry that happened to you but glad that it worked out. Did RCL offer any explanation?

No, they just apologized. I would just think if you are asking for a deposit and taking the deposit, you would notify the person. My friend is also on the "waitlist". I let her know she should try daily, just in case they don't let her know.

I never even knew there was a waitlist! But now I will look for that as I appreciate studio rooms that are few and far between.

This is not the first time that someone has posted that the wait list process is unreliable. Best is just to keep checking on your own.
