Can you book a golf cart or jeep in advance?

Hi! We will be in port in a couple of weeks and are having a hard time finding something to do???wondering about rentals or would love some advise?? We are a family of 4 with a teenage boy and 9 yo dd! Ihave plans for all of our other ports but nothing stands out here!

Try Costa Maya Tours for golf carts. They go for about $75 a day. But you shouldn't have any problem renting them at the port. I believe they or another vendor have jeeps too. The issue with a jeep or a car is that unless you are planning on driving out to Blue lagoon or one of the Maya ruins on your own, there's really no where to drive to in a car. You can take a taxi to Mahahual for $3 pp going $2 pp returning. You can walk the entire malecon in about 20 minutes, poking along. You can't drive the golf cart along the malecon and there's not a whole lot to see along either street of the town.

 

There is an ATV excursion that will get you beyond the malecon and further south. These are 4 wheeler and you're never really off-road. I think it's ship sponsored so check you cruise lines.
