Temperature Inside of the Jewel

Recommended Posts

Leaving next week on the Jewel to Alaska. So I don't have to overpack, does anyone know how the temperature is INSIDE of the ship...casino...dining room? I know we can adjust it inside the cabin, but what about the public areas?

The temperature inside the boat was HOT! Half of my party of 6 is going home already sick and the rest of us are getting sore throat. Inside the boat everyone was sweating and then you go outside where it was freezing and it was a bad situation. There was no air circulation. The customer service desk was no help, they couldn't even tell us the actual temperature inside the ship.

We were on Jewel a few months ago and didn't notice that the ship's temperatures were any different than they have been on any other ship on which we have sailed. Some guests are clearly more sensitive to temperature variations than others, so if you are concerned that the interior of the ship may be too chilly for you, a light jacket or sweater may be in order, regardless of where you are sailing. We have sometimes noticed that elevators and some hallways are warmer than other areas of the ship, but that may vary from one ship to another or one itinerary or another.

I was on Jewel for the first Alaskan cruise of the season in the end of June. Temperatures inside and out were very comfortable for me. In the ports it was sunny each day, temps in the 70s. The inside of the ship was the typical mid 70s or so. It really only got cold outside at night and when we were up in higher elevations.
