Hairdresser

I always visit the hairdresser before we cruise, but my usual hairdresser has left (don't know where she's gone) so it's the owner who now does my hair.

 

My question is simply this: as he is the owner do I tip him or not? Please remember I live in the UK where rules re tipping are not quite the same as in the U.S.
