Suite Passengers Dinner

We are planning our specialty restaurant reservations for an upcoming cruise on the Riviera. We have sailed in the Owner Suite on the Regatta several times and they always had a special dinner for the suite guests. We will be in an Oceania Suite on this sailing. Do they do that on the Riviera and/or Marina? Just wondering.....

Never heard of such, but there's lots of things I don't know.

Short answer, no. But you have one of the best cabins on board, access to the best restaurants and food at sea, and the ability to make reservations for a La Reserve dinner hosted by Food & Wine Magazine which I HIGHLY recommend! Oh, and don't forget the lobster tails every day at Waves. :)

Actually, the OP is referring to something called the Chef's Patio Dinner which used to be a perquisite for the OVO (Owners-Vista-Oceania) set. They were lovely dinner parties, arranged in a sheltered area of the Pool-deck, hence the "patio" aspect, where one could mingle with the executive chefs and hotel management team.

Sadly, those dinners were cancelled, about three years ago, due mostly to lack of participation. One of the downsides, I suppose, to Oceania's heavy repeater rate.

As with everything, you must use it or risk losing it. ;)

Thanks, StanandJim...we had the same question as we're new to Oceania and just booked Insignia in a VS.

Can't compare the two lines but one of the best perks of HAL Neptune Suites (besides the unlimited laundry/dry cleaning) were the suite cocktail parties/lunches...we did find that aspect to be more social than Cunard Queens Grill for meeting the Captain and Officers.

From what I've read on the boards already, tho, it seems that the smaller number of passengers and friendly crew make this more easy for all passengers!
