Drinks available in Yacht Club?

I am confused! We are in YC for our December Cruise on Preziosa. I presume we will be able to have drinks ANYWHERE on the ship! Am I wrong? e.g in the theatre or whilst chatting with friends who aren't in Yacht Club.

You are not able to order drinks ANYWHERE on the ship. You may take a drink with you when you leave the YC venue. Some are purchasing one of the drink packages just to be able to order anywhere on the ship. This is the one feature I wish MSC would change regarding the YC. Enjoy your cruise.

Thankyou for your very quick reply. I thought that might be the case but we can take a drink with us or summon the butler I suppose! We usually struggle to find much for him to do when we have had one previously!

We only changed to Yacht Club yesterday. There has been a reduction in price in the last week so we cancelled our original booking and started again! We are now paying less in YC than we were in a Balcony cabin in the main part of the ship!

We have done both within the past year. I loved the YC (Divina) for the ship within a ship feel. The lounge is wonderful..great view in the front of the ship on the 15h floor with the bar, couches and small bite food always being served. The butler service was very special and everyone was very attentive. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner; we usually had lunch on the 18th at the pool area. I really liked the Prosecco (even with breakfast) but the wine choice is limited and could not get Pinot Grigio without paying extra. I felt the selection was more like X's Classic. The rooms are standard size with a very small balcony but there is a walk in closed and the room is nicely decorated. Ship is beautiful.

The restaurant is on the opposite side of the ship and to get there you either had to walk across outside which as extremely windy each night or go through deck 7 where the crowds were trying to get in the MDR. The food was very good in the restaurant and the staff was exceptional. All that being said, we booked an 11 day Caribbean on the Divina because it was a great experience.

We enjoyed the AQ Suite on Celebrity because of Blu, a larger cabin and breakfast served elegantly on our balcony. The Premium package on Celebrity is excellent with so much included.

We loved both experiences for what they had to offer.

As was already said, you can take drinks out of the YC, you could even take drinks out of your mini bar, but you can't call your butler from another part of the ship and ask him to bring you drinks to lets say the theatre or casino. You'd have to go back up to the YC and get them youself.

No drinks allowed in the theatre. Though you may see some people carrying drinks in - they may be unaware that they shouldn't or they just ignore the rule. Either way, they run the risk of being denied entry if the crew spot them.
