Storing luggage

Has anyone taken the cruise tour (Southern bound) to Alaska? I understand you can store your big luggage for the whole 4 days you are doing the land tour. I feel more comfortable having my luggage with me. Does anyone do that and not take advantage of the storage? (We are on Celebrity)

It can be done if you pack within the guidelines of the land portion of your vacation.

How about storing luggage in Seattle post-cruise to visit town before heading to an airport hotel? Tom (aka peerless cruiser) I know you probably have info on this!

Your luggage with cruise only clothes is not stored. It is loaded onto the bus you are traveling on in a separate locked compartment and is not taken off at the various hotels. The luggage you need for the land portion is taken off the bus each day and put outside your hotel room. You have to put it outside by a certain time each day so that it can be put back on the bus.

 

We've done 2 land tours with Celebrity and always felt our cruise only luggage was quite safe on the locked bus.
