For those who don't like my review...that's OK....I know not everyone does.

However you are not going to want to read my next update for today. It contains a MASSIVE amount of pictures from the Chihuly Gardens.

I personally like to take pictures and I like to share them too. Not only do I try to help those who want to learn about what to do before or after a cruise, but I like to relive the whole experience itself while writing.

I hope to get my port embarkation day started tomorrow or Monday.

Love reading this. I was in same cruise and also spent 2 days in Seattle pre and post cruise. Went to a lot of same places so enjoy reliving trip thru your eyes. We had lunch at Space Needle and you would have enjoyed it. Can't wait to hear ship details.

We had such wonderful weather didn't we? I wonder if we ever ran into each other?

Jen- keep doing exactly what you're doing.. I think it's beautiful and I'm excited to see what's next. We use that pike fish market as part of Customer Service training at the hospital I work at. Those gentleman seem to have a lot of fun at work. It's a place that I would love to visit someday.

Thanks!

That is really neat that they base it off of the workers there. They did look like they were having fun.

You are right.... We had gorgeous weather throughout cruise and in Seattle. Was a trip of a lifetime and couldn't have been more perfect.

It really was a trip of a lifetime. I tell Claire how lucky she is to have been to Alaska at age 10 when many people never go in their whole life.

thanks! :p

I HAVE to show Skip this pictures...and Claire too. So do they serve pork? Or all sorts of stuff?

I saw it on the Food Channel, and they were talking about the pork they serve. May be other stuff, I don't recall them saying. I do want to find that truck next time we're there and eat some PORK!!!

Super!! I haven't seen very many pics of Chihuly Gardens so I'm looking forward to yours. We're talking about taking a train trip to Seattle, since we don't like to fly, and I REALLY want to see the Gardens.

I didn't know they took the chihuly from the Magic. She's our favorite Disney ship, of course it's been a few years since we've been on her.

I'm hoping we can get to Alaska in the next couple years.

I think a lot of people weren't happy and the replacement is blah!

Do it! If you can go to Alaska ....go! It's so unlike any other destinations I have been to.

We were on the Disney Wonder in March for the second time. Love walking in to the lobby and having the chandelier he did creating such a warm atmosphere. Going to miss it when they re-wonder the Wonder next year.

I would love to go before the "re-wondering" as well, but I know it won't happen unless my money tree starts growing faster. I am going on the Magic in Feb and possibly the Fantasy in the fall.

So if it's on the food channel then it's probably pretty good. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it if we ever go back.

Well you are about to get plenty!!! :D

The train would be a fun ride I bet! Part of the adventure.

Warning…..the next update is REALLY long and picture intense. If this doesn’t interest you, then just go ahead and scroll through. The good thing is, it will be the end of this day and the next day we board the Jewel!!!!!

With tickets in hand we headed towards the entrance to the exhibit. There were pictures lining the wall that looked to have info on Dale Chihuly but we did not stop to read them.

We handed over our tickets and were stamped in case we wanted to come back in later yet tonight and were on our way.

The first room we entered is the Glass Forest! And OH MY WORD! It was stunning! I think we both gasped.

The next room is the Persain Ceiling room. All the glass was enclosed in the ceiling and it was so cool.

The next room we entered is the Ikebana and Float Boat. This was by far my favorite room.

The pieces are all beautiful, but having them in dark rooms with the right lighting just made them even better.
