New Grand Voyage Brazil to China

Hi All

 

The Lirica will sail from Rio to Shanghai March 2016.

I wish i could, it's a wonderful itinerary and they offer a lot of perks included in the price, such as the beverage package, 8 shore excursions and some free laundry

Spare about the poor passengers that had booked Med cruises in March and April that are now cancelled!

 

First Opera and now Lirica - that's twice in two months where MSC have just repositioned a ship and discommoded passengers!

 

There must be a hell of a lot of dosh to be made in Cuba and Shanghai if they can do this and compensate discommoded passengers! :eek:

I wasn't sure what the original Lirica itineraries were for 2016 Tom. I would not consider cruising the Med in March or April - too cold for me.

 

Sadly we know that MSC has a very unimpressive track record in that respect.

 

I think this Grand Voyage is being marketed as 3 different segments ?

 

I have sailed on Lirica and enjoyed it but 60 days is too much - JMO

60 days is far more than I could ever consider when working but not even sure if I weren't that I'd still want to be on any ship that long.

 

Wouldn't mind the genoa to Dubai segment though. It's all academic as I'm already on the Barbados repo a month later.

Genoa / Dubai to Shanghai doesn't though, so difficult to find out the costing.

 

It would be interesting to know what is happening après Shanghai. Are they going to take on Costa around SE Asia ? That would be a consideration.

 

The itinerary after Dubai is somewhat similar to the Orchestra's to Oz. I don't think that I could face applying for another Indian visa !!!

However, uploading a photo that meets their requirements !!!

 

Beats sitting in a queue at Hounslow, for a face to face, as David did , though.

Indian e-visas are only valid for arrival in India by air!

Interesting long voyage. Unfortunately too late for us. We have already booked other itineraries.
