Shmoo here Posted August 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2015 On the wonder...veranda doors are next to the beds for 2 year old and 4 year old in Deluxe Family Veranda Room. Can door be opened easily... Paranoid Grandparent Not "easily". The lock is near the top of the door. Unless the 2 year old or the 4 year old can reach it to unlock it, it would be very difficult for them to open the door. That being said, even when the lock is unlocked, the door itself is pretty heavy and difficult for even some adults to open.
moki'smommy Posted August 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2015 No. The lock is shoulder high on me (a 5'6" adult). The doors are quite heavy, even for an adult. And the child would have to be able to manipulate the lock, then the handle and the heavy door. Each of these is an obstacle. The door weight alone would prevent young kids from opening it! cb at sea Posted August 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2015 And, you will be close enough to hear them and reach them in a step or two, should they attempt it! The cabins aren't big!!!
ajoneen Posted August 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2015 I sometimes sleep walk so my husband put the low coffee table in front of the door at night. Might try that?
Shmoo here Posted August 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2015 I sometimes sleep walk so my husband put the low coffee table in front of the door at night. Might try that? Since OP said "veranda doors are next to the beds for 2 year old and 4 year old in Deluxe Family Veranda Room" I'm figuring that the Murphy bed is being used, as well as the sofa bed. With the Murphy bed open there's no room for the coffee table. As it is right next to the veranda door/window.
