We were on the Elation in July and most of the tables we saw were $5/6 minimum bets with several higher stakes tables. Now we did come across several game tables with $20 minimum bets and no other options with lower minimums those not brave enough like me lol

Thanks. Interested in craps and roulette but I'm sure info on all games are appreciated.

Reports of $10 minimums bothers me.

Well, then you've obviously already read some of the other threads. It seems that there have been different minimums on different ships lately. Are you interested in a specific ship?

I had $5 minimum on Conquest the first week of June.

You could email the players club (casino@carnival.com) and ask them, get an "official" response, and let us all know so we'll be prepared. :D

So far, I have only seen the Breeze with $2 chips, but all roulette minimums have been $5 still. At the time, the casino host said only the Breeze had $2 chips. I keep reading rumors of $10 minimum bets and had even seen someone say the Valor had changed, but it was still $5 3 weeks ago. I suspect Carnival may just be experimenting still to see how higher minimums affect play.

Not true. Both Freedom (11/29/14) and Conquest (5/31/15) had $2 chips with $5 minimum. Both were Premier Casino cruises so they may have had different limits.

Vast majority of players didn't seem shocked; I only saw 1 or 2 people who came up to the wheel and were upset by the $2 chips.

Again, if people are interested in a particular ship, perhaps they should email the Players Club and ask.

I'm not concerned about either having $2 chips or a $10 minimum (and I certainly am not a high roller). But it seems many people are, so why not find out directly from the casino rather than all the mixed results and speculation here?

Its called a forum. Of the few things that I have an interest in is the minimums.

Thanks from the OP for all the comments. I am going On the Ecstasy ( yes I know) , so I didn't expect $10 minimums or $2 chips but I like to be informed and prepared.

Davey the Breeze roulette minimum for the 8/9 sailing was $10 with the $2. I hated it but still spent like 15 hours there.

Yes, I realize it's a forum. ;)

My point, that apparently is being missed, is that it SEEMS that it varies from ship to ship. It may even vary based on certain sailings.

So, posting here on what it was on one specific ship on one specific sailing may or may not be what it is on the ship you're sailing or considering.

The Players Club appears, just like Carnival, to be inconsistent in many areas.
