Portofino

Tiny Portofino on Italy,s Riviera de Levante is just magical. Just soak up this quaint little seside town in its idyllic setting. If time permits take the round trip ferry excursion to the San Fratusso Peninsula only accessible by sea from Portofino and St Margherita Ligure. Portofino will be a tender port.

Portofino is charming. It has not changed since the first time we visited there. It is a nice place to take a long hike if you like to walk and also to just enjoy walking the area near the tender drop off. You can also visit Santa Margarita from there as well.

 

We were just in Portofino this past May.

Yes, it is pretty, but very touristy. You can just wander around, sit and people watch or visit the Hotel Splendido, a place where many wealthy celebrities marry.
