Iluvcruising2 Posted August 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) A sea of yellow today in downtown Kuala Lumpur, with protestors chanting 'Bersih, Bersih!'. People of Malaysia are out in force, demanding the resignation of their Prime Minister Najib. Hope that all remains peaceful. Here are some videos and slideshows for all of us to get a glimpse of what is happening there. Photo compilation. Large crowd moving off. This is to mock the Prime Minister who said that he received a huge donation into his personal account from some Arab country. Even Guy Fawkes makes an appearance. sambasue63 Posted August 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Any idea how long these protests have been going for? We are hoping to travel in to KL when our ship docks at Port Klang on November 6 to visit our nephew who is currently working in KL.

4774Papa Posted September 4, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 4, 2015 We are going to KL in February, 2016 no matter what. The people have a right to protest. Yes, thankfully in Malaysia. Not in other Asian countries like China, Vietnam, N. Korea. We spent two days in Malaysia on a tour from Singapore and found the people very friendly. The food in Malaysia is fantastic. Iluvcruising2 Posted September 16, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted September 16, 2015 So today, we have the pro-Government group staging a protest to support the Government. Ironically, this group is a lot more wild and confrontational. The police running away. Scuffle with the police, trying to break the line. Finally, the Police bring out the water cannon. It is seriously becoming a riot.
