mike x ftc Posted August 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Does anyone know which pier the Epic docks at and how can we get there?? We should be arriving by train to the Passeig de Graci - I assume that's the main station, we're coming in from Sitges. Thanks
hawkeyetlse Posted August 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Passeig de Gràcia is not really the main station (Barcelona has a lot of train stations) but it is a convenient station for catching the metro to the port. Get the Green Line L3 in the direction of Zona Universitària and get off at Drassanes, which is at the bottom end of the Ramblas near the Columbus statue. See metro map here. That is where the port bus leaves from (ask around when you exit the station, the bus stop is not very well marked), and it takes you directly to the ship. If you have a small group, and a lot of luggage, it may be just as easy and economical to take a taxi from Passeig de Gràcia. (Last time I was there, the port bus cost 3 euros per person one way, and the metro is about 1 euro per person if you get a T-10 ticket for 10 rides.) TrumpyNor Posted August 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2015 We always just takes a taxi when in Barcelona for a cruise - Spanish taxi prices are NOT expensive, all though a small tip on top of the meter price is normal (just 1-2 euros extra). Any taxi driver will know which Terminal to go to if you tell them you are boarding the Epic! :) We did your trip the opposite way around......we got the train to Sitges AFTER our Epic trip. We got a taxi to Sants train station .......the closest one that has trains to Sitges.......and the taxi cost us 25 Euros, including luggage and tip. Hope that helps. :)

It is not the main station , it is a line north of las ramblas .
dijid Posted September 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 21, 2015 I recommend a taxi. We tried to take the port bus several years ago and it never came by and stopped for us.

Georgina1505 Posted November 26, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 26, 2015 Hi, has anyone used NCL transfers from the airport? We paid for them as part of our package. Thanks
hawkeyetlse Posted November 26, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 26, 2015 isn't estacio di franca the nearest station to the port from sitges ?Yes, the R2 from Sitges goes to Estació de França, which is closer to the port if you want to continue by taxi. And there are probably also a couple of bus lines that will take you right to Drassanes. But if you want to switch from the train to the metro, Passeig de Gràcia is much more convenient. megaelch Posted November 26, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 26, 2015 have been in Barcelona two times this year .. would recommend the taxi option, there are steps to take from the metro and travelling with bags and all your belongings makes you an easy target for pickpockets as well ... 20 extra bucks well spent

Calling for a taxi is the most convenient option. But if your hotel is within easy walking distance of the Columbus Monument at the bottom of the Ramblas, the T3 port bus leaves from there and it will take you right to your ship for 2 euros per person. Rare BamaVol Posted December 13, 2015 #13 Share Posted December 13, 2015 Is Sitges a nice place? We are looking to stay a week after our cruise in May. Sitges has come up as an option.

Take a taxi. You have too much to be trying to get to the shuttle stop, on to the shuttle bus, and off at the pier. If you are close to the port (or not close to the port) catch a taxi. meltingmoments Posted January 3, 2016 #15 Share Posted January 3, 2016 Is Sitges a nice place? We are looking to stay a week after our cruise in May. Sitges has come up as an option. Sitges is a beautiful place! Very laid-back and very inclusive. The beaches are beautiful, it has a lovely Marina area and lots of small, narrow, streets with good bars and restaurants. It's our go-to place as often as we can recently! :)
