Hi everyone, i am going on a cruise around the South Pacific leaving Melbourne on the 30th November 2015 and returning to Melbourne. in our cruise personalizer it tells me in the documents i need is a visa/eta. I have been on quite a few cruises around the south pacific before and never needed one of these before do i actually need one. The ship will be the Golden Princess.:confused:

I think you are better off addressing this question to fellow Australians on the Australian cruisers board of cc.

I have been to a few South Pacific Islands and never needed a visa, but then I carry a different passport and it wasn't recently. Who knows, maybe some of the island nations implemented an online ESTA procedure like the US and Australia did.

Has the cruise line not told you where you need a visa for? I'd be surprised if, as an Australian, you need a visa to visit Australia; but you haven't mentioned which other countries you might visit.

Also when you start a thread make the topic of the thread the subject of your post rather than using your cruise member name as the subject. You will get more responses that way.

I don't think the OP used their screen name as the subject but instead the site put it there by default because the subject heading was left blank. This happens a lot with new members.
