MrJoeBlack Posted September 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2015 I'm planning on doing a "mad men" type reveal for my upcoming trip in the YC so I am polling to see what others find to be the best parts of the YC so I know what photos to find and print for the "meeting" the family knows we are going but do not know we have the "Sophia Loren" suite on divina nor do they know about the YC and the perks. Feel free to drop photos and stories, TIA

Norwegian Cruiser 73 Posted September 7, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 7, 2015 Here a series of photos from the YC onboard the newest pearl in the MSC fleet, the Preziosa :D http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1973929 My favourite area in the YC is the One Pool Deck with all it's facilities. A paradise at sea:)
Capricruiser Posted September 7, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 7, 2015 I'll be in Yacht Club cabins on the Divina in October (repo Genoa-Miami) and the Preziosa for the New Years cruise. From everything I read and the photos in these threads, I have a sneaky feeling I'll like it!
Crzyfrk62 Posted September 7, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 7, 2015 The service was incredible. Loved the personal attention, everything is included. No hassles, no worries. Best parts - by the second day they knew what we drank, from our espressos in the mornings to our afternoon & evening drinks, including shots. Having the mini bar stocked with snacks and water. Did a cruise in April came home and booked a B2B for December even though I've been to those ports it's all about the YC! I was sitting at the YC pool bar and I really wanted a slice of pizza I happened to mention this to my cruise partner and before I could leave the bar to go get some we had 4 slices in front of us!!!! The bar staff was on it!

The bar staff was on it! Pizza has to be ordered in YC, too, as it's not a readily available item. It comes from Eataly! There really are no "best" parts of YC IMHO - the whole experience is the best - from service, to the Top Sail Lounge, the restaurant, the pool area/bar, the Concierge - I really couldn't single one area out. Priority embarkation in Barcelona last week was fantastic! We arrived to the port before the desks had opened. No problem - escorted directly to YC and checked in at the Concierge desk! Our butler took our hand luggage to the cabin while we headed for the lounge for a pick-me-up as we'd been travelling all night. It was raining very heavily when we arrived and passengers were left outside the terminal building, huddled against the side of the building trying to get a little shelter while we sailed past (pardon the pun). How fortunate we were to have booked YC on this occasion.

kathiean Posted September 13, 2015 #17 Share Posted September 13, 2015 We have sailed 4 times in the Yacht Club on Divina...once in the Sophia Loren and 3 times in cabin 15028, one of the larger 'square' cabins. We have 4 more YC trips booked in the next year. It is, hand's down, the BEST sailing experience we have ever had in 30+ cruises on a variety of cruise lines. Our favorite part of YC is our butler...they absolutely become your best friend by the end of the cruise. By our fourth cruise, we had become very close with many of the crew and consider them our extended family. Cannot wait to be back onboard for the New Year's Eve cruise! In YC on the MSC Divina in Caribbean last summer they offered pizzaslices on the One Pool Deck. The butlers served pizza on the pooldeck :) On Fantasia in the Med this summer the pizza was replaced by icecream. On Preziosa, East Med Sept 2014 the butlers came around with trays of assorted desserts on the OPD at lunch. I wasn't offered anything this time on Divina. A couple of times it crossed my mind to ask but I never got around to it.

As they market the Divina itinerary heavily in the US maybe the service and menus are a bit "Americanized" like their Caribbean cruises? We preferred the Med product onboard the Fantasia this year compared to the Caribbean product on Divina last year. Hope you had a great cruise in YC :) Edited September 15, 2015 by Norwegian Cruiser
