If you do self debarkation and are in the first group off, if all goes well, you could be heading for a taxi by 7:30 or 8:00. If all goes well, then you will make it. It the event anything goes wrong, you will be in for a long, boring and stressful day at the airport.

No, don't book it.

It is too early no matter if you arrive in Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

Way too much risk.

And if someone tell you they've done it before understand that does not mean that you will be as successful.

This question comes up almost daily on the Florida Departures Board and just about all of us on that board would advise not to do this.

Miami, IMHO, is one of the most difficult airports in terms of crowds and very long lines. Check in lines could take more than 30 minutes and security lines even longer. And you must be on the plane 20 minutes before departure----we just flew this past week, and two men who were in the bar walked to the gate area 10 minutes before departure, and their seats had already been given to stand by passengers.

I feel that the flight you want is too early.
