Yes, you should get the lower fare for the existing cabin.

 

Be careful if you have perks as part of the original offer, they may not be included in the current offer. In that case you would likely lose the perks which may be worth more than the price difference.

Yes to both, unless this new fare is for new bookings only.

IF the new fare is for "new bookings only", just go online and book a different cabin (assuming one is available), then cancel the first booking. OR when you are talking to Princess, tell them you are going to cancel because they won't give you the new fare and they usually will give you the new fare.
