We just got back from our seven- day cruise from New Orleans on Carnival Dream on Sunday (September 20, 2015). I am sorry to disappoint the lady but our platinum S&S card was just as it has been for the past several years. No bells, no whistles, no sirens. :)

Like I said before, I think she needs PLATINUM tattooed across her forehead.. [emoji267][emoji41][emoji484]

All cards are recognized from afar since they all have much different colors. Blue, Red, Gold, Grey, White. So it looks grey, EVERYONE knows that Grey=Platinum.

Just off a cruise and I hung out close to the guest services one evening and man let me tell you the eaves dropping was very interesting. It is amazing what some people will complain about. I swear some do it to hear themselves talk and to gain OBC in any way possible.

That's a great idea for new entertainment On the ship. They should have theater type seating at GS so everyone can enjoy! :D

I'm not sure there even was an "on topic" for this thread LOL .... I think everyone pretty much agreed that this woman was wayyyy out there in her hissy fit.

BTW ... since we're already off topic ... the show SMSACE6 and I were referring to is a PBS comedy series "Keeping Up Appearances". It is deliciously hysterical ... well worth the time to search your TV provider listings for it.

Oh dear, Hyacinth? How dare they not treat her in the manner she would like to become accustomed to.

Our last cruise in January was the first cruise of the Conquest out of Port Everglades. As we had just finished the cruise on the Freedom, we had an in-transit pass and we were first in line at Priority boarding. The computers were not working so we were given a visitor's pass and escorted to the Priority lounge. We were told we should get our cards at GS as soon as we got on the ship. GS had only blue cards so they gave us those and told us we could come back and get the correct color later. One lady was screaming at GS she needed her platinum card now. Really? We decided it wasn't worth the hassle and just kept the blue cards for the cruise. We joked how we must be among the very few that could go from blue to platinum in one cruise.

I suggest rhinestones. Maybe blinky lights.

Now that's my kind of card!!! Lol!!

Actually, this is my 3rd cruise with Carnival and I never felt so uncomfortable until I started reading some of theses boards with people shoving the "I'm better than you cause I'm whatever level"

It makes me want to hide my non Diamond Card [emoji17] #feelingsad
