Buying Beverage Package During A Cruise?

Can you buy a beverage package say half way through a cruise and only be charged for the remaining days of the cruise?

Can you buy the Royal Replenishment package at the beginning of a cruise and then upgrade later to the Ultimate Beverage Package?

Yes to both questions, but there must be at least 4 days left in the cruise.

I upgraded with two days left on the rhapsody from replenish to premium. I believe this may be unusual, though.

It should be the same "per day" price, but 5x "per day" (for example) is going to be cheaper than 7x "per day".

 

IMO, if your cruise is "port heavy" on the front end, it might be worth waiting to purchase.

They also offered a special for new packages only with three days remaining.

Unfortunately, I held out for that on my following cruise and it never came!!
