FutureMrsDiaz Posted October 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2015 My son just got this Costume.. I read they couldn't have weapons so he couldn't be the ninja he wanted to be.. I guess I totally skipped where they can't have masks. So do I have to disappoint him and try and find another?? It's our first Halloween cruise so I don't know how strict they are about it. Thanks! Canadian_J Posted October 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Here is what is on the Carnival website, so I would take this as the official policy. ---------- Halloween When: October 31 'Frightfully Fun', our Halloween celebration on board is always a fun and a memorable time aboard a Carnival ship with a variety of fun-filled activities for all. Halloween will be celebrated on October 31st on all ships listed below. -Ships will be decorated on embarkation day (or no earlier than October 26th for longer cruises} -Guests ages 1-17 are invited to participate in a Halloween Hunt and Trick or Treat along the ship's promenade, through various public rooms as they stock up on candy. -Adult Costume Contest -Halloween Dance Party (Nightclub) -Halloween movies shown in-cabin and Dive-In (featured on select ships) -Special Dive-In movies screening of non-edited Halloween horror motion pictures shown at midnight on Carnival’s Seaside Theatre (featured on select ships). -Guests can have photos taken with special Halloween backdrops -Casino-Witching Hour tournament -Pumpkin carving demo -Special Halloween desserts -Special drink cocktails -Carnival Team will be dressed in costume Costumes: Children and adults are encouraged to bring costumes so they can participate in the always* interesting costume contest. Please note that we do not allow any toy or imitation weapons of any kind on board nor do we allow guests to wear masks. Note: Real pumpkins are not permitted on board. 2015 Halloween Sail Dates Carnival Breeze: October 24 Carnival Conquest: October 25 and October 31 Carnival Dream: October 25, 2015 Carnival Ecstasy: October 30 Carnival Elation: October 26 and October 31 Carnival Fantasy: October 27 Carnival Fascination: October 29 Carnival Freedom: October 29 Carnival Glory: October 24 and October 31 Carnival Imagination: October 29 and October 31 Carnival Inspiration: Charter Carnival Legend: October 26 Carnival Liberty: Charter Carnival Magic: October 25 Carnival Miracle: October 17 Carnival Paradise: Octobr 26 and October 31 Carnival Pride: October 26 and October 31 Carnival Sensation: October 29 Carnival Spirit: October 30 Carnival Splendor: no celebration Carnival Sunshine: October 23 and October 31 Carnival Triumph: October 24 Carnival Valor: October 24 and October 31 Carnival Victory: October 26 and October 31 ---------- My two cents is that they probably won't strictly enforce the mask part of the policy, especially for kids. However, you can't say you weren't warned if they do choose to enforce it.
Rare skittl1321 Posted October 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Could you bring some facepaint as a backup if you can't wear the mask? I'm guessing, on children, mask is just a safety issue. If there are waves that day, walking around the ship can be hard enough- they don't want vision obstructed too.
sanmarcosman Posted October 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2015 The rules say no masks and the bio-hazard mask is a key feature of the costume. Target has some costumes without masks so that's an option.
