If you look around this board, you can see the drive is about 40 minutes. However, with cruise ship transfers, typically you need to wait for the bus to fill, or all people scheduled to be transported have been collected. So, if you are the last to be found, it's 40 minutes. If you are first, it could be awhile longer.

last year we paid $30 pp from PE to MIA so it is probably the same price

If you are flying in the day of your cruise (a risk I would never take) the cruise transfer is not a bad option. A taxi from MIA to PE will run about $75+ on the meter -- a good option only if 3-4 are sharing the cab.
