New to RC - Suite questions

Well, I think that has made the decision right there. I think we'll go for a GS. The only thing I'm concerned about now, is if we start sailing in a suite, I don't think there will ever be any turning back!

Nailed it!! We upgraded for our honeymoon. That was 2002. Have never gone back...and even got to experience the Royal suite once.... It has been worthwhile for us as it changes the experience. We now prefer to have breakfast in the room in the morning..much less rushed and much more private....drinks or dinner on balcony...suite lounge is always very nice...and 2x now DS has become very ill on cruises.. Just our dumb luck... But Being cooped up for days on end didn't feel so bad those 2 times and we enjoyed the balcony and all the other suite amenities.

Well, we ended up just doing a balcony cabin on the start of the midship bump out. I'll take the larger balcony, and see how it goes. Maybe next time around we'll go for the suite.

Its a cruise... Will be awesome no matter what!!! Enjoy every moment!!!!:)

Can someone elaborate on the "Limited Exclusive Pool Deck Seating" for suites? Is this just a few chairs? If I was assured of a prime spot by the pool, I'd consider that to be worth the price.

Me too!! On Oasis it appears to be just lounge chairs and a bar on the 17th deck overlooking the pools... Not right at the pools, so for those of us with kids, not a huge perk unless they are in kids club and we have time alone.

not by the pools at all. usually up that half deck overlooking it. also I have not yet seen any of the areas that had any shade/cover whatsoever

they are however steps from the pool bar heheheh

usually 4 or 5 rows of maybe half dozen loungers each.

Can someone verify, isn't the new suite program for Oasis class and Quantum class ships to start? Possibly rolled out to the rest of the fleet later in the year?

Just got off the phone with a C&A rep, and he verified that the new Suite Class program are taking effect on Quantum and Oasis class ships. He didn't mention anything about an eventual fleet wide roll out.

The main reason for the call to C&A: we decided to upgrade to a spa junior suite. I really liked the idea of double C&A points, and the slightly larger room. Also, that rain fall shower, and soaking tub look amazing! With this cabin, we would fall into Sea Class, under the new suite perks. This means we would benefit from a few other perks under this new program.

What the heck. We only take one major vacation per year, so I figured why not! I plan on keeping it a secret from TJ (my partner), hopefully he will appreciate that soaking tub! We still have so long to go until we sail, but hopefully it'll fly by!

I found a link to the special site that explains the new program. Somewhere there it should show the dates, when you can start to book under the new program, and when it will take effect. Plus, it's nice to look through the info and find out what your really getting. Check it out here.

The simple answer to your question (after I went back, and looked): May 2016.
