If there is any portion that I end up not using, is there anyway to have it refunded in cash at the end of the cruise? Or is the only option to have it refunded back to my credit card?

Just go to guest services and get the remainder/left over in cash. I have done this several times with no problem.

You have to go on the last day, some ships only on the last evening.
