kusuriurikun Posted October 16, 2015 #26 Share Posted October 16, 2015 How much did you pay? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk $50 (and this was for a Cabinette for two). Considering the floatie mats alone are normally $17 for a day's rental, definitely worth it :D And yes, the Cabinettes do seat two.
Clarea Posted October 16, 2015 #27 Share Posted October 16, 2015 What's the upgraded lunch? We are planning a cabana. They will have some skewers of chicken and shrimp, plus some minute type steaks. They will also have most of what is at the regular buffet.
scubadiverswife Posted October 16, 2015 #28 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Hi we were there in April this year and booked a cabinette, we received a bottle of cava and had a fab buffet that included lobster and steak and salad baked potato and prawns. It was lovely and we didn't have to travel anywhere as the buffet was right behind us. We also had floating mats too, would defo do it again :-)
Lveh8lve Posted October 16, 2015 #29 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Is the price $50 for 2 people or $50 each? I went to book online and it wants $100 for the 2 of us, but states everything is for 2. I'm hoping it's just the website craziness

When I chose one it will only let me choose one guest not both of us. Will that screw it up??

Only one person needs to reserve it. You can both use it. Like the large cabanas on Labadee, in my name, but 10 of us used it...
Rare conandrob240 Posted October 17, 2015 #33 Share Posted October 17, 2015 I don't think I understand these. There are only teams/ transportation if you rent a cabinette? And last poster, please tell me when you were there that was small jellyfish season?

It does not happen often, but it's happened to us a couple of times.
meripour Posted October 17, 2015 #35 Share Posted October 17, 2015 I think the Clamshell is the best deal at $50 for the day for two - flat price. Now after reading what Bob posts, even more. you still have some perks; fruit tray, bottled water, float maps, lounge chairs, towels, & transport to Barefoot Beach. It does not say it includes lunch. Can anyone chime in on this?? So where are these that you have to be transported back to the beach? The cabana offered is $216 but you have to wait until onboard to book, then its first come, first serve. This would be great if there was a group to share the cost, but not for two. I has chairs, sofa, towels, snorkel equipment for 2, deluxe lunch buffet. I have read it is not easy to get into the water from these cabanas due to the rocky shore. True? You cannot get to the water directly in front of the cabanas because of the huge rocks there. However, it's a short walk to the beach. The cabinettes are on Barefoot Beach, which is barely showing on the lower right (#34) of this image: The cabanas are shown at #2 on this image. Wow, the cabanettes do seem isolated! Near a bathroom, that's good :p. We purchased one and are excited. Just hope we can dock that day!
MNfamilycruiser Posted October 17, 2015 #38 Share Posted October 17, 2015 I don't know how fast they sell out, but our son got us that "excursion" for our anniversary.. I'm pretty excited.. It's the little things...:p I was thinking about these too :D- but we have OBC to use up - we might wait until we are onboard.

Rare conandrob240 Posted October 18, 2015 #46 Share Posted October 18, 2015 We were there in late April and we were stung by the jellyfish :-( Thanks. April-May is typical in the Bahamas. Sometimes late summer too. We saw tons on an August trip to Nassau.
M&Msmom Posted October 19, 2015 #47 Share Posted October 19, 2015 I booked a cabinette before reading this and I put in 2 names and paid 49.95 per person, Not 50.00 per cabinette. We are traveling in Nov.. Is it possible that this has changed and is now a per person charge or should I cancel one name? I would call RC but I am sure I wont get the correct answer. Maybe I should wait til I get onboard?

Aeryn Posted October 20, 2015 #49 Share Posted October 20, 2015 I don't mind paying if necessary--but is that the only way to get seating and shade?
