Best Bars in port area or downtown?

We have been to St Thomas so many times and have decided to make it a bar day. Looking for suggestions on places with decent prices and a happy hour deal would make it even better. Thanks!!

Happy Hours usually don't start until 4. Bones Rum Shop in town near the Greenhouse let's you pour your own rum.

 

New bars in Havensight are opening this season so check back next month.

Give the Dog House Pub on just off Frenchman Bay Road a short walk from port a try if you like dive bar places. For scenery of the port/bay look into Grand Cru in yacht Haven, a bit more upscale. Rum Island, The Greenhouse are two good spots along the strand. But I like Tavern on the Waterfront for its music (not sure how early that starts) and Island Hoppin IPA. And of course you can take the tram up to Paradise Point fro bushwackers but it's a tad expensive.

My favorite place is the Big Kahuna Rum Shack. Great food, decent prices, and a very good atmosphere. I wrote about it on my wife's blog if you want to check it out for further pictures and details.

 

There is also a great Beer Garden downtown that is in a nice courtyard, quiet, and pretty cheap. It's called Beuchel's Beer Garden.
