oscarshep Posted October 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Hi, Firstly, I cant give you the brand name of house red on the Majesty but I did find it more than agreeable on our cruise last month....even out of a plastic goblet on deck. I was on the drinks package and I`m sure Thomson`s didn`t splash out too much cash on their house wines. If you, like me, enjoy a red can I suggest a visit to your nearest ALDI and try the Torro Loco @ £4. And if you do please let me know what you think. It`s all down to personal preferences but I`d love more red wine fans to try it. I`m not sure if it`s ok to promote any products on this forum but please give it a go. We are big red wine drinkers in all senses of the word! I like a Shiraz, cab sav and a malbec. I like new world Australian but not French or south African. I have put off getting the drinks package in case I did not like the wine. What is the policy on bringing wine on board ? Pensioncruiser Posted October 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2015 Hi Jaxw17. Thomson have no problems with you taking alcohol on board to drink in your cabin. You can buy a wine package on board and the wine is OK☺

joeholiday2 Posted November 1, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 1, 2015 I know it's an old post but it might be useful.... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=42557696&postcount=8 It's French and a little harsh compared to the new world wines. But still drinkable. If you have a Lidl near you try the Californian red Zinfandel at £4.50, we really like that.
