Know that this venue is only open in a couple of ships so far. Has anyone heard of dates for when it will be introduced to other ships. Have a few cruises booked and would love to try this out if it was available.

The Salty Dog will be open when we're cruising on Emerald Princess in January.

Was on the Crown recently, and it Salty Dog had just begun operation. Staff was approaching diners in the Horizon Court to solicit business, but not doing a very good job of explaining it.

 

My biggest objection is that most of the Wheelhouse is now filled with high, plain looking tables and chairs instead of the luxurious and classy furniture it was noted for. (There is a small part that remained as-is). It will be a "no-go" for me in the future since PCL has trashed one of the nicest lounges at sea in order to charge for MDR type food.
