Question about space in a car rental

We have a rental on a truck at FLL, and wondering if anybody has booked any of these in the past?

 

If so, we are a family of 5, and they have these listed as quad cab, but on some car rental sites they say they can fit 5 passengers. As well, are the cargo cab covered?

What brand of truck? Most rental companies will say "Xxxx" brand or similar. I doubt the cargo area will be covered.

We have a rental from Enterprise/Costco: Dodge Ram or similar. You are right no coverage in cargo area. Only worry when we have our luggage..yikes if it rains

I think I would feel comfortable with 5 in a Ram, unless you are larger people.

Several years back we rented a 'small' 4-dr pickup (I believe it was a Nissan Frontier) that had a locking bed cover, it was perfect for our dive trip to the Keys (this is before we moved down here permanently).
