Rare POA1 Posted November 4, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted November 4, 2015 We experience lunch hours of 12-1 regardless of at sea or not. When did you sail and on which ship? Thanks!

Rare POA1 Posted November 4, 2015 Author #28 Share Posted November 4, 2015 Equinox 10/15/15 and silhouette last April. Thanks. That's certainly pretty current experience. I wish I could make heads or tails of the rules. I suppose we'll find out once we board. Hopefully our experience is like yours and not "Go Big. Go Better. Best Go Somewhere Else for Lunch." :D
1982CruzStart Posted November 4, 2015 #29 Share Posted November 4, 2015 On Millie currently. Breakfasts: port 7 to 8:30, sea 7:30 to 9. Lunch: port none, sea 12 to 1:30 Been disappointing that on a day we docked at 1 pm still no lunch. Certainly not meeting my expectations.
JFontaine Posted November 5, 2015 #30 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Breakfast closing at 8:30 on vacation is ridiculous. 9 isn't much better. If Celebrity doesn't want to do it correctly, they shouldn't do it at all.

kenevenpar Posted November 6, 2015 #32 Share Posted November 6, 2015 I like breakfast early; DW, not so much. There were a couple of days that 9:00 was pushing it, and we walked in at 8:55+.
Gordoncruickshank Posted November 6, 2015 #33 Share Posted November 6, 2015 The early breakfast has always been the case with Celebrity where breakfasts are served. The times are the same in Blu and the main dinning room. I have seen the door in Blu being closed over at exactly 9am with guests being turned away after that. Luminae tends to be a bit more accomodating.
JFontaine Posted November 6, 2015 #34 Share Posted November 6, 2015 The Main Dining Room and Blu should not be the standard. The standard should be what similarly priced lines charge. If I recall correctly on Crystal and Regent breakfast is served until 10 am.
MiaPortia Posted November 6, 2015 #35 Share Posted November 6, 2015 Hubby and I, like others, had previously booked several Celebrity sailings based upon Celebrity’s introduction and marketing of Suite-level benefits -- of which (for us) dining in Luminae, INCLUDING lunch on port days, was a key component. After the initial Luminae debacle, we cancelled several of our booked cruises, but kept a 2017 sailing hoping Celebrity would work out what appeared to be “startup” issues. It seems clear, however, that Celebrity is unable or unwilling to provide the promised Luminae experience, and, as mentioned before, at Celebrity’s price point for upper-level suites, many choices for luxury cruise vacations exist -- without this problem or aggravation.
