Hopefully NCL does right by this dish. Had some HORRIBLE poutine in a Niagara Falls, NY casino a couple years ago... but then about a year later had some pretty good poutine at a KFC (or PFK, if you prefer ;)) in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

To me, it is definitely an acquired taste. They served in to us in Canada. Fries with gravy, yes, but add those cheese curds and it was a big no for me.

 

I tried this at O'Sheehans on the Star. I don't mind gravy on my chips (fries) but the cheese was a big turn off. I rarely eat cheese, not because I don't love it, as it can trigger a migraine if I eat too much. It was just about OK as long as I scraped the cheese off. Can't see me getting it again.

We had poutine while in a restaurant in Quebec after our last cruise. I had a cheesy one and my wife a chicken one. One of those things that is no longer on our bucket list!! :eek:

Usually available on ships in Europe at the buffet. I always have this for breakfast when I see it.

Remember that many menus - including O'Sheehans - were revised for the Escape. Not sure when the revised menus will go fleet wide! ;)

My understanding is the menus go fleetwide after the new year.
