Thank you so much for this fantastic review. I so appreciate all of you that give such wonderful informative reviews. I will be on this ship on December 11th and am looking forward to sailing her again. Thanks again….

Thanks for reading! Glad you enjoyed it. :-). This was my first long review, so I'm happy you found it informative.

Hope you have a great time on your upcoming cruise! I think you'll have fun!

Great Review....thanks for sharing your cruise with us

Thanks! I know you do very long and detailed reviews, so I appreciate your kind words. :-). Not sure I could do one for a longer cruise, but I really enjoyed reliving the fun by writing this review. :-)

Sotuffexecutive Her DH and I ( solo Cruise this time sigh) are on the Ecstasy 12/14 - 12/18 for the Key West, Cozumel & Sea Day cruise. Thanks for the great review. We had a really poor showing on our roll call and hope that anyone else who is on our cruise reads this review and connects with all of us on the Aft Verandah Deck at Sail-Away.

We didn't have much of a Roll Call either. I think 4 or 5 posts was all. That seems to be the norm these days for shorter cruises.

Thanks for reading my review! I hope you have as good a time as we did! Enjoy!!!!

We are on the December 21st sailing, and we don't have anyone on our roll call!! I keep thinking we are alone!!

Great review of my favorite Fantasy Class ship!

I'm intrigued by your comment that being Platinum means you don't have to leave your cabin until 9:00am on the last day.

I've never heard of this. Is it new?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it's new or not. The past few cruises we've taken, we had to be off the ship anyway, so I didn't pay much attention to the time in the letter (and I didn't save them).

Here's a picture of the letter we received on the Ecstasy. I guess technically we had to be out of the room by 9am, not at 9. [emoji4]

Our cruise was full of first time cruisers! They've probably never even heard of CC. You may have the same situation on your sailing.

Great review! I am taking a 1st time cruiser on this same itinerary Feb 1st. You said you still have the Fun Times - anyway you would be willing to scan those and post them? She has no idea what to expect and rather than her be overwhelmed once she gets there she can be prepared :-) Also wondering if they do any themed nights? White, Mardi Gras, Fiesta Deck party, etc..... Thanks so much for your help :-)

Thanks for reading! I'm not really set up to scan, but I can answer your question about theme nights:

The first night was Ladies Night and Electric White Night in the Stripes Nightclub

2nd Night (Key West) was the Captain's Celebration

3rd night (Cozumel) was the Red Frog vs Blue Iguana Deck Party and the Love and Marriage Show

The final night (Sea Day) was Hasbro the Game Show and the Towel Animal Theater (both daytime). The Casino band did 80's music that night.

Hope this helps!

Nice review! I like to take a cruise on the Estacy but my DH don't like short cruises.too bad we live just 15 minutes from the POM.

Thanks for reading! We prefer longer cruises as well, but we'll take a short one if that's what is in the budget or all we have time for. :-).

If we lived as close to POM as you do, we'd be sailing once a month! ;-)

This was a great review...I have 2 Carnival cruises and my favorite I must say was 4 day on Fantasy class Paradise out of Long Beach...I am glad they have music that is improving..and learned the "new" things about turndown and no Lobster Elegant night..it is just great when you can enjoy easy ports and the ship like you did...I too love that Serenity....having availability on that area is really special...smaller size..neat area..the ocean and port view is yours..so glad you were able to get a nice cruise in on the "roof" year....blessings....thanks so much for the great photos and review. Our very first Carnival cruise, 20 years ago was on the Ecstasy. Now, our teenagers have grown up and we have 11 grandchildren. We've pretty much decided to do this as our first ever family cruise. We've all cruised separately and we think we have our schedules coordinated to be able to do this cruise! It will be exciting to see the reactions of the 9 grandkids whom have never cruised. Loved your review. Thanks for sharing.
